How to Use Treepel

The following instructions will help you make the preparation of Treepel products simple and effective. Please use the instructions relating to the particular product most suited to your use.

Treepel 250
Mixing Instructions

Treepel is now ready to be applied. Spray liberally - excessive spray will not be a problem.
Each Treepel 250 package makes up 5 x 500ml applications, 2.5 litres in total.
Treepel is rainfast in 2 to 3 hours.
Avoid applying Treepel to broadleaf plants in full sun.

Treepel 100
General Information

Treepel 100 will treat approximately 100 seedlings after planting. Clean out your knapsack or sprayer thoroughly before applying Treepel Animal Repellant. Like any repellent, Treepel is only effective on treated foliage so a second application may be needed on fast-growing species.
Important. Apply Treepel as soon as the tree is planted. The first visit by an animal gives them the bad taste, deterring their return.

Mixing Instructions

Spray the plants thoroughly. Treepel is rainfast in 2 to 3 hours.
After 2 or 3 days mixed Treepel will begin to smell like rotten eggs. It is still an effective pest repellent but the odour may be unpleasant!
Avoid applying Treepel to broadleaf plants in full sun.

Treepel 750
General Information

The Treepel 750 pack will treat approximately 750 seedlings after planting.
Clean out your knapsack or sprayer thoroughly before applying Treepel Animal Repellant. Like any repellent, Treepel is only effective on treated foliage so a second application may be needed on fast-growing species.
You will need a resealable container (where to buy resealable containers) of about 20 litres capacity.

Treepel can be frozen in a resealable container for later use. After 2 or 3 days pre-mixed Treepel will begin to smell like rotten eggs. It is still an effective pest repellent but the odour may be unpleasant!

Treepel 2500
General Information

The Treepel 2500 pack will treat approximately 2500 seedlings when dipped in Treepel before planting.
You will need a resealable container, such as a Rubbish Bin (where to buy rubbish bins) of about 45 litres capacity.
Like any repellent, Treepel is only effective on treated foliage so a second application may be needed on fast-growing species.

Mixing Instructions

For bare-rooted seedlings, expose the seedlings and dip the foliage only in the Treepel mixture. Shake off excess Treepel. These seedlings are now ready to plant.
If you have containerised seedlings, use a knapsack to apply Treepel to the seedling foliage while still in the containers. Treepel is rainfast in 2 to 3 hours.
